The Monroe County Lady Falcons fell on the road Thursday evening at Warren Central in a girls' soccer match.

The Lady Dragons won 6-1.

Brylee Pickerell scored the lone goal of the match for Monroe County on an assist from Lexie Johnston.

The Lady Falcons picked up their first win of the season Tuesday night when they defeated Jackson County(Tennessee) 3-0. Pickerell scored two goals in the match and Katie Catalan added the third goal for the Lady Falcons.

Pickerell and Gracie Taylor each had an assist against Jackson County.

Monroe County will host Barren County at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Metcalfe County defeats Caverna

Metcalfe County improved to 3-1 on the season with a 2-0 volleyball victory over Caverna on Thursday.

The Lady Hornets won the match 25-18, 25-17. Metcalfe County defeated Adair County on Tuesday and also has a win over Russellville this season.

Metcalfe County is slated to face Monroe County at 9 a.m. Saturday at Todd County Central in the 4th Region All 'A' Classic.

Caverna dropped to 0-2 with the loss. The Lady Colonels will travel to play LaRue County on Monday.

Barren County picks up win

The Barren County Trojanettes have won their first three volleyball matches of the season.

Barren County defeated Russellville on the road Thursday 2-0(25-12, 25-10). The Trojanettes will play in the McCreary Central Invitational on Saturday with three matches scheduled.

Glasgow loses volleyball match

The Glasgow Lady Scotties dropped a volleyball match to Franklin-Simpson at home Thursday night.

Glasgow lost 2-1(25-22, 18-25, 25-14) to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Glasgow will play at Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. Monday before hosting Barren County at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Glasgow falls on the road

The Glasgow Scotties lost their first soccer match of the season Thursday.

Glasgow lost on the road to Southwestern 7-1 to drop to 2-1 on the year. Yahir Molina scored the only goal for Glasgow on an assist from Jackson Bower.

The Scotties are slated to play in the Franklin-Simpson Wildcat Cup on Saturday.
