Glasgow pulled off the regular season sweep of Clinton County on Monday, as the Lady Scotties won 10-0 in District 15 soccer action.
The Lady Scotties improved to 7-4 with the win and will host Pulaski County at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Glasgow is a perfect 4-0 in district play this season with two matches left, one against Barren County and the other against Monroe County.
Monroe County blanks Green County in girls' soccer
The Monroe County Lady Falcons picked up their second win in three matches Monday with a 10-0 victory over Green County at home. Melanie Thurman had a shutout at goalkeeper for the Lady Falcons.
Lexie Johnston scored five goals for Monroe County(3-7-1) and Gracie Taylor and Brylee Pickerell each added two goals. Katie Catalan also had a goal for the Lady Falcons in the victory.
Hannah Proffitt and Catalan each had an assist for Monroe County, who will face Barren County on the road Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Trojanettes fall at home
Barren County lost just its second soccer match of the season Monday when the Trojanettes fell 4-0 at home to LaRue County.
Barren County was again without the services of its leading goal-scorer in Ally Bell, who was injured during last week's match with Glasgow.
The Trojanettes(7-2) will host Monroe County(3-7-1) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in a District 15 meeting.
Barren County wins volleyball match against Caverna
The Barren County Trojanettes picked up their second volleyball win of the season over Caverna on Monday.
Barren County won 2-0)(25-20, 25-20) to break a three-game losing streak. The Trojanettes(10-12) will host Glasgow at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Glasgow defeats Cumberland County
The Glasgow Lady Scotties won their home volleyball match over Cumberland County on Monday ahead of their Thursday district match with rival Barren County.
Glasgow won 2-0(25-14, 25-17) to improve to 8-10.
In other area volleyball action Monday, Monroe County fell 2-1 to Russell County and Metcalfe County lost 3-0 to Clinton County.
