The Barren County Trojanettes have a new girls' soccer coach.
Amanda Lockhart, a teacher at Red Cross Elementary for Barren County Schools and a former Trojanette during her high school days, was announced last week as the program's new coach.
Lockhart takes over for David Embry, who resigned for personal reasons, Barren County Athletic Director Warren Cunningham said.
"We're excited about it," Cunningham said Monday. "Our girls' soccer program has been very successful over the past several years. We have a lot of girls that play. Coach Embry has done a great job and we want to continue to build on that with Amanda."
The Trojanettes have won three consecutive District 15 titles. Barren County lost in the first round of the 4th Region tournament last year.
Laurence Nyekan will be an assistant coach under Lockhart.
