The Barren County Elite 8U All-Stars recently advanced to the semifinals of the Cal Ripken Baseball State Tournament in Hodgenville. The Barren County Elite 8U All-Stars recently advanced to the semifinals of the Cal Ripken Baseball State Tournament in Hodgenville.

They fell to Elizabethtown, who went on to win the tournament.

Barren County’s team — consisting of Jackson Bennett, Bly Johnson, Brayden Phelps, Malachi Pendleton, John Thomas Ogles, Knox Hardy, Bryar Bewley, Harlee Walker, Zyler Barbour, Noah Glass, Sam Hills, Brayden Weygandt and Tanner King — is coached by Jeremy Bennett, Michael Pendleton, Chris Weygandt and John Ogles.

During pool play, No. 1 seed Barren County finished with a 2-0 record after defeating LaRue County 10-2 and Breckenridge County 15-6.
