To the Daily Times:

I have accepted a new executive director position with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. The opportunity to join a dynamic association, to reunite with my old boss, Mr. Rob Gray (who is now a vice president with the YMCA), and to assume the role of executive director for an independent YMCA which has just now joined the YMCA of Middle Tennessee was all too exciting to overlook.

The past four years as the CEO of the Barren County Family YMCA have been tremendous. I will always treasure the experiences and friendships that I’ve made during my tenure here in Barren County.

Thank you for the support you have given me over the past four years. The goal from day one was to improve facilities, diversify the facilities offered, promote our financial assistance program, to gather a staff team that was both friendly and committed and to create an environment that was welcoming to all the people of Barren County. I think as a team we’ve accomplished our goal.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for truly being the best. It is most difficult to leave a YMCA when surrounded by volunteers that are so incredibly committed, productive and friendly. However, I feel blessed to have been able to work with each and every one of you.

Together, I think we’ve done well. I wish all of you the best of luck with your continued work at the YMCA.

My last day at the Barren County Family YMCA will be Sept. 23.

Thank you and God bless!
