A woman died Monday from injuries suffered in a crash on Ky. 90 in Metcalfe County.
According to a Metcalfe County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies responded to the wreck at about 12:26 p.m. about 4.5 miles east of the Beaumont community.
A preliminary investigation found that Kendra N. Moore, 19, was driving a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire westbound on Ky. 90. Bryan K. Hale was driving a 2016 Dodge pickup truck eastbound on the roadway.
As the vehicles entered a curve, Moore's car was traveling too fast and crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, the news release said.
The vehicles collided in the eastbound lane, and Moore was ejected from her car upon impact. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Moore was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow where she was pronounced dead. Hale declined treatment at the scene.
The investigation is being led by Deputy Lonnie Hodges. Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
