Glasgow fire fighters responded to a reported vehicle fire in the drive through at McDonald's on Saturday.
Fire fighters found upon arrival the vehicle was in a parking area away from the business, a press release from the Glasgow Fire Department said.
The driver advised that he moved the vehicle to that area after he noticed fire coming from under the hood, the release said. "He used water to extinguish the fire prior to our arrival." The water was supplied by restaurant employees.
Fire fighters used a water/foam extinguisher in the vehicle engine compartment where the fire had started.
Glasgow police on the scene had a wrecker service notified to haul the vehicle away at the driver's request, the press release said. No injuries were reported.
Fire fighters were on the scene about 16 minutes.
