Two Allen County men were arrested on Friday by Glasgow police on drug charges following a traffic stop in the Walmart parking lot near the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and Happy Valley Road.
Steven Payne, 26, of Scottsville, gave Glasgow Police Officer Tim Maniere permission to search the vehicle. Maniere found a syringe and methamphetamine in the vehicle, said a Glasgow Police Department press release.
Payne was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (second offense, methamphetamine), the press release said.
Justin Carter, 27, also of Scottsville, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense, methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia, the press release said.
Both were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center where they are each being held in lieu of $2,500 cash bonds, according to the jail website.
