Three Edmonton residents are charged with wanton endangerment after the Metcalfe County Sheriff's Office said they had enough evidence to arrest them for shooting at a residence on Sept. 22.
According to an MCSO news release, Deputy Mike Burton was called to a home along Randolph Road on Sept. 22 to investigate a shooting. Burton concluded that a pistol had been fired four times into the residence. Two people were at home at the time of the incident but neither were harmed.
An MCSO investigation led authorities to locate enough evidence to charge three people for the shooting, the news release said.
On Monday, a search warrant was issued for a home along Joe Acree Road, and the following three people were arrested for first-degree wanton endangerment:
• Sammy J. Posey, 21
• Joseph C. Smith, 26
• Julie M. Knight, 26
Knight was also charged with possession of marijuana. All three were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
