A woman was arrested Saturday for drug trafficking after police said they found more than 21 grams of methamphetamine inside her purse.

According to a Cave City Police Department news release, officers responded to a complaint of a possibly intoxicated woman who was leaving Watermill Restaurant in a white suburban.

The vehicle was stopped by police on Mammoth Cave Street where the driver was identified as Jamie P. Groce, 41, and the officer identified signs of her being intoxicated due to methamphetamine use, the news release said.

K9 Jax was deployed and alerted officers to possible drugs inside the vehicle. A subsequent search resulted in officers finding 21.4 grams of methamphetamine in several baggies inside of Groce's purse, according to the news release.

Groce was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance(methamphetamine, greater than or equal to 2 grams), drug paraphernalia buy/possess and careless driving.
