A response to a domestic dispute led authorities to arrest a Metcalfe County man for cultivating marijuana after they said they discovered marijuana plants being grown on an adjacent property.
According to a Metcalfe County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies responded Monday evening to a call at a residence along A.H. Boston Road. Prior to their arrival, authorities said an unidentified man fled the home.
While searching the immediate area for the man, Deputy Mike Burton discovered several marijuana plants growing beside an adjacent residence, the news release said.
After an investigation, the property owner, Stephen D. Erwin, 62, was arrested. Eighteen marijuana plants were discovered along with drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.
Erwin was transported to the Barren County Detention Center on charges of cultivate in marijuana(five plants or more) and drug paraphernalia buy/possess.
