A man was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday night after his horse-drawn carriage collided with a passenger car near Smiths Grove.
According to a news release from Smiths Grove Police Chief Johnny Vance, Officer Wes Jenkins responded to the 1400 block of Hydro Pondsville Road near the intersection with T. Elkins Road in Warren County around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a wreck involving a horse-drawn carriage and a motor vehicle.
Reuben Yoder was identified as the operator of the carriage and Autumn Juarbe was identified as the driver of the passenger car.
Yoder's wife, Salome Yoder, and seven minor children were found on scene and had been in the carriage at the time of the collision, although no one was injured, according to the news release.
During the investigation, Yoder was administered field sobriety tests and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, the release stated.
Reuben Yoder was arrested and transported to the Medical Center at Bowling Green where he was medically cleared before being lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
He has been charged with operating a non-motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, first-degree criminal mischief and nine counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
The investigation is ongoing.
