A Tennessee man was injured Thursday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 79 in Butler County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Scoot Coon, 37, of Ardmore, Tenn., was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
Coon told police he was traveling northbound on Hwy. 79 approximately nine miles south of Morgantown when he saw an oversize vehicle heading in his direction.
Coon tried to swerve to avoid hitting the vehicle and lost control of his motorcycle as it left the roadway, according to police reports.
The motorcycle came to a final rest in a ditch.
Coon was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, police said.
