A high-speed pursuit that began in Bowling Green ended in Cave City, where a Louisville man was arrested.

Redjo Osmanovic, 21, was charged with receiving stolen property over $300, fleeing/evading police, wanton endangerment and possession of marijuana, according to the Kentucky State Police.

Officers with the Bowling Green Police Department initiated pursuit of a stolen vehicle. They allege that the vehicle, driven by Osmanovic, struck a BGPD cruiser and refused to stop.

The vehicle left the city limits and ramped onto Interstate 65, with members of the Kentucky State Police now involved.

The chase ended in Cave City, where the car turned into a private parking lot. The suspect was apprehended without incident when the car was disabled and he tried to flee on foot.

KSP Trooper Charlie Swiney investigated and was assisted by sergeants Kevin Pickett and Tommy Smith, troopers Joel Huff, Derek Grant, Derris Hedger, Anthony Brown and Richard Ellis, Detective Dathan Tarrence, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the Cave City Police Department.
