A Glasgow man was arrested early Friday morning on multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed pursuit on his motorcycle, Glasgow Police said.

Eric L. Cherry, 24, of 109 B Bob White Way, Glasgow, was charged with fleeing and evading police first-degree, reckless driving and two counts of disregarding a traffic control device.

Police attempted to stop Cherry’s motorcycle at the intersection of Reynolds Road and Ky. 90 after observing the driver speeding on U.S. 68-80 west, according to police reports.

Cherry reportedly failed to stop for police and then ran a red light before proceeding through the intersection, authorities said.

Police said Cherry ran a second red light at the intersection of Happy Valley Road and L. Rogers Wells Boulevard.

While traveling north on the Bypass at a high rate of speed, Cherry passed a vehicle in a curve on the wrong side of the roadway, police said. The pursuit ended when he turned right onto a dead end street.

Cherry was taken into custody and lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.
