The Glasgow-Barren County Tourist and Convention Commission's search committee is ready to make a recommendation regarding its selection for the tourist commission's next executive director.
The tourist commission will meet for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday and that is when the search committee will present its recommendation, said Robert Smith, chairman of the tourist commission in a text message to the Glasgow Daily Times on Friday.
The search committee met on Thursday and began interviewing candidates for the position, which became available when former executive director Ann Stewart resigned in May.
The search committee received 12 applications for the position, which were narrowed down to five. It was those five who were interviewed by the search committee.
