The trial date for a former Monroe County Middle School teacher who fled to Mexico with her 4-year-old son and a 14-year-old former student has been pushed back.

Angela Comer was scheduled to be in court starting on Feb. 13. That trial has now been rescheduled for May 10 and 11, according to documents on file in the Monroe County Circuit Clerk’s office. Comer’s attorney, Johnny Bell, is in Frankfort fulfilling his role as state representative.

Comer was charged in January 2006 with custodial interference, four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor younger than 18 in the first degree and two counts of sodomy in the third degree.
