More than 78 grams of methamphetamine worth an estimated street value of $8,700 was discovered last week in an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot of Cracker Barrel at Cave City, according to officials with the Barren County Drug Task Force.
Cave City Police responded to a domestic disturbance at the restaurant parking lot around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
The two people involved told authorities no assault had occurred. One of them then left on foot, abandoning the vehicle in the parking lot, police said.
After approaching the vehicle, a Cave City police officer noticed ingredients used to manufacture the drug, along with several bags of meth inside, according to police reports.
The Drug Task Force executed a search warrant for the vehicle leading to the discovery of approximately 87 grams of finished product and numerous ingredients used to manufacture meth, authorities said.
No arrests have been made. Charges are pending while authorities attempt to locate the people involved.
