The Barren River District Health Department announced Tuesday that it has confirmed 1,968 cases of COVID-19 in the Barren River District, 1,326 of which have recovered.
The district said in a news release that it has 50 deaths reported from COVID-19 and provided a breakdown of the numbers by county.
On Monday, David Williams, director of the Allen County Health Department, reported in a news release that the Allen County Health Department had another three confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Allen County as of Monday afternoon since 3 p.m. Sunday.
Williams said in the news release the patients were undergoing medical treatment and were in quarantine. The Health Department, Williams said, is contacting persons who may have been in contact with the individual and advising them of the self-isolation requirements within the next 24 hours.
Allen County now has had a total of 136 cases reported since the start of the COVID-19 Outbreak, the news release said. Currently 106 cases have fully recovered and are off quarantine with a remainder of 26 active cases in quarantine at this time either at home or hospitalized, and four deaths.
At the time of the news release, Williams said, there were 15 pending tests reported with the Allen County partners: Agape Health, TJ Health- Scottsville, and Medical Center-Scottsville.
