A Barren County man was arrested on numerous drug charges Friday when authorities responded to his residence in reference to complaints about illegal drug activity, according to officials with the Barren County Drug Task Force.

Toby Reneau, 27, of 1834 Morrison Park Road, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces, cultivating marijuana five or more plants, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (meth), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Upon arrival, officers observed a marijuana plant in the back of a pickup truck, authorities said.

Several more marijuana plants were discovered growing behind the residence, according to police reports.

A large amount of meth, marijuana and several weapons were discovered inside the home and vehicles, law enforcement officials said.

Reneau was taken into custody and lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.

– Drug arrest made

Detectives with the Barren County Drug Task Force arrested a Glasgow man Friday while assisting Probation and Parole officials.

Jamie Saltsman, 28, of Glover Hills Lane, Glasgow, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree (meth) and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officers discovered a substance believed to be meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside Saltsman’s home, authorities said.

He was placed under arrest and lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.

– Man charged for drug possession

A Glasgow man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after authorities discovered a piece of aluminum foil containing suspected methamphetamine while assisting Probation and Parole on a home visit, officials with the Barren County Sheriff’s Department said.

Gilbert Faircloth, 29, of 781 Finney Road, Glasgow, was placed into custody and lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.

Authorities discovered a piece of aluminum foil containing suspected meth residue inside Faircloth’s garage, according to police reports. Faircloth was arrested without incident.

– Local man arrested on drug charges

A Glasgow man was arrested on drug charges Friday after police stopped him for an outstanding warrant, Glasgow Police said.

William Tyrone Mitchell, 45, of 106 Wade Ave., Glasgow, was charged with possession of a simulated controlled substance first-degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police discovered a bag containing a white powder-like substance of suspected cocaine base crushed and a metal pipe used for smoking, according to police reports.

Mitchell was additionally charged with criminal mischief and resisting arrest after allegedly damaging the hood of a police cruiser during an altercation with police.

He was lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.

– Burkesville woman charged

A Burkesville woman was arrested Saturday on multiple drug and other charges following a routine traffic stop at the intersection of West Main Street and Rodgers Road.

Glasgow Police arrested Tenisha M. Gray, 24, of 5904 Glasgow Road, Burkesville, on charges of possession of a schedule two controlled substance, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, third offense, aggravated circumstances, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs not in proper container and careless driving.

Police stopped Gray’s vehicle after observing her weave in an out of traffic, according to police reports.

After failing a sobriety test, Gray admitted to police she had taken four Lorcet tablets, authorities said.

Police searched the vehicle leading to the discovery of several loose Lorcet and Valium tablets and a marijuana pipe, authorities said.

Gray refused blood and urine tests. She was taken into custody and lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.
