Scottie Band Classic

Barren County High School was named grand champion Saturday at the South Central Kentucky Marching Band Classic, hosted by Glasgow High School at Hank Royse Stadium.

BCHS, which also won the Class AAAA competition, scored best overall music and best overall visual.

Meanwhile, in Class A, Campbellsville High School was first, Cumberland County High School was second and Metcalfe County High School was third.

In Class AA, the only competing band was Edmonson County High School.

Class AAA was broken into two categories. In Class AAA-1, LaRue County High School was first, followed by Allen County-Scottsville High School and Hart County High School. In Class AAA-2, Taylor County High School was first, followed by Breckenridge County High School and Nelson County High School.

Eastern High School finished second in Class AAAA.
