This page is a few of my favorite pictures that I have been lucky enough to take over the last 18 months while I have been working at the Daily Times.

This will be my last complete photo Neighbors Page, as I will be leaving the Daily Times to join my parents’ business in Boulder City, Nev., just outside of Las Vegas, next month.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the people in our coverage area that have been so good to me during my time here. If it were not for you, there would be no pictures to take.

I also wanted to thank Joel Wilson for giving me this job. He was willing to take a chance on an almost 40-year-old rookie in the field of photojournalism. I hope that I contributed as much to this job as I have learned from it.

My friends in the newsroom have truly made coming to work everyday enjoyable. We have shared many laughs, and, honestly, a few arguments, but the laughter has far outweighed anything else. I could not have asked for a greater group of people to work with from the reception area to circulation department and everything in between — these people are A+ in my book.

Having lived in Glasgow for the past 18 years, it has become my home, and although I hate to leave here I am looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. I am going to continue to take pictures in Nevada and I will from time to time send some of my favorites to the Glasgow Web site so that my friends here can see what I am up to.

But, you do know what they say: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”
