Barren County High School Principal Brad Johnson announced Thursday morning via his personal Twitter account that this will be his final year as principal of BCHS.

“After a great deal of prayer, thought, and discussion with Jodi, I announced to the staff that this will be my last year as principal of BCHS,” Johnson stated. “I will leave with nothing but love for everyone and great memories.

“Thanks to all for being awesome and so supportive of me.”

Barren County Schools Superintendent Bo Matthews wrote on his personal Twitter account Thursday morning that Johnson is an “awesome leader” with a servant’s heart “for students and staff!”

“He’s raised the bar at BCHS and Loved his STUDENTS and STAFF every step of the way,” Matthews stated. “May God bless him as he begins a new chapter!

“We are very appreciative of your leadership and for your friendship!”
