A Louisiana man died after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 on Wednesday, according to a Kentucky State Police press release.
KSP Post 3 personnel responded to the scene near the 58-mile marker northbound in Hart County at 11:23 a.m., and the preliminary investigation indicated that the 2000 Lexus operated by Dylan A. Fresina, 26, of Baton Rouge exited the right shoulder of the roadway for an undetermined reason as he traveled north. Upon exiting the roadway, Fresina’s vehicle struck a concrete bridge pillar head-on before coming to a final rest. Fresina, who was unrestrained at the time of collision, was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Hart County coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Jonathan McChesney. He was assisted on scene by Horse Cave Fire Department, Hart County EMS and the coroner.
