A Hart County man died Thursday after authorities said he lost control of the ATV he was driving and struck a tree.
According to a Kentucky State Police news release, the collision occurred at about 3:38 p.m. in the Canmer community in Hart County. Larry C. Rogers, 77, was driving a 1995 Polaris ATV southbound on North Jackson Highway when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to exit off the southbound shoulder of the roadway before striking a tree, the news release said.
Rogers was taken to the Medical Center at Caverna where he died from his injuries at about 5 p.m., the news release said.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
