The Glasgow Police Department arrested multiple people Saturday on drug charges.
Officers responded to a home along Shorthorn Street to serve a warrant. There they found Anne K. Murrey, 34, who had an active warrant and police also found methamphetamine on her person, a news release issued Monday said.
A search of the residence by officers led to the discovery of more methamphetamine, marijuana and digital scales, the news release said.
Along with Murrey, police arrested Tracy D. Wright, 33, and Heather R. Lyons, 33, both of Glasgow.
They are charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance(methamphetamine, greater than or equal to 2 grams), buy/possess drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana(less than 8 ounces, enhancement).
Additionally, Wright was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Shoplifting complaint leads to drug arrest
Also Saturday, the GPD was called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint.
Officer Tim Maniere located the subject, Jeffrey W. Fancher, of Hiseville, in a vehicle in the parking lot. He confirmed Fancher had an active arrest warrant. He searched Fancher and found hydrocodone, oxycodone, diazapam, clonazepam and gabapentin inside his pocket, the news release said.
Fancher was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance(unspecified) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance(unspecified).
