Glasgow woman arrested for not complying with sex offender registration


A Glasgow woman was found to not have complied with state sex offender registration after Glasgow police pulled her over on Tuesday for a traffic stop along Veterans Outer Loop.

Jodi Marie Akers, 28, was arrested and charged with failure of non-owner/operator to maintain required insurance (first offense) and failure to comply with sex offender registration (first offense), said a Glasgow Police Department press release.

She was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond, according to the jail website.

The arrest was made by Glasgow Police Officer Wesley Hicks, who was assisted by Glasgow Police Officer Mark Cromwell, the press release said.
