A Glasgow man was arrested after police responded to a residence along Cedar Street in reference to a domestic situation.
Glasgow Police Officer Trey Wyatt received consent to search the residence where police officers found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police officers also determined that a woman had been assaulted at the residence, said a Glasgow Police Department press release.
Philip Simmons, 48, of Glasgow, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense, methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence with minor injury, the press release said.
Simmons was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. He has since been released. A $2,500 unsecured bond is pending, according to the jail website. s
Wyatt was assisted by Police Officer John Warnock and Sgt. Nick Houchens, the press release said.
