A Metcalfe County man is facing several charges after authorities said they found a marijuana cultivation operation on his property.

According to a Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office news release, Kenneth P. Taylor, 32, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation that began Oct. 7 when deputies were called to the scene of an accident along Subtle Road.

A vehicle had exited the roadway and struck a wire fence. The person driving the vehicle fled the scene without reporting the incident, the news release said.

The MCSO went to a residence along Delk Branch Road the following day to interview a suspect in the incident.

“Though the suspect was not present, evidence of marijuana cultivation was discovered upon arrival,” the news release said.

After obtaining a search warrant, the MCSO recovered several marijuana plants and several ounces of processed marijuana along with a firearm from the residence, the news release said.

On Wednesday, Taylor was arrested at a home along Muncie Court in Edmonton.

He’s charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivate in marijuana(five plants or more), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia buy/possess, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report a traffic accident.
