A search is underway for a Barren County woman believed to be responsible for a stabbing incident that occurred Saturday morning at a residence along Tompkinsville Road.
The Barren County Sheriff's Office is looking for 26-year-old Brooke Pierce and has issued an arrest warrant for her, charging her with first-degree assault, said a Barren County Sheriff's Office press release.
The stabbing victim, a woman, was brought into the emergency room of T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Detectives with the sheriff's office were able to interview her before she was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for further treatment. The victim said she was stabbed by Pierce during an altercation, the press release said.
