A Barren County grand jury returned the following indictments in August. An indictment is a formal charge that represents only the prosecution’s side of the case and is not proof of guilt. All those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

• Shirley J. Vickery, 70, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree sodomy in a continuing course of conduct(victim under 12 years of age), a Class A felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred Dec. 26, 2018-July 2.

• Ron L. Grider, 39, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony, and one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about April 22.

• Christopher J. Johnson, 26, of New Albany, Indiana was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property($500 or more but less than $10,000), a Class D felony; one count of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, a Class A misdemeanor; Third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class A misdemeanor; second-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class A misdemeanor; resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor; drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor; and second-degree criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 3.

• Kacey L. Ghrist, 27, of McMinnville, Tennessee was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property($500 or more but less than $10,000), a Class D felony; one count of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, a Class A misdemeanor; Third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class A misdemeanor; second-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class A misdemeanor; resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor; and second-degree criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 3.

• Glen W. Rawlings, 47, of New Albany, Indiana was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property($500 or more but less than $10,000), a Class D felony; one count of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, a Class A misdemeanor; Third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class A misdemeanor; second-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class A misdemeanor; drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor; and second-degree criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 3.

• Jeffrey A. Burgess, 32, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree fleeing or evading police(motor vehicle), a Class D felony; one count of first-degree wanton endangerment, a Class D felony; one count of second-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class A misdemeanor; one count of operating on a suspended/revoked operator's license, a Class B misdemeanor; and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about March 15.

• Courtney J. Lobb, 32, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of custodial interference, a Class D felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 13-14.

• Melissa L. Dicks, 38, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance(methamphetamine, 2 grams or more), a Class C felony, and one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 19.

• Danielle N. Sullivan, 27, of Rockfield was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about May 29.

• Lisa N. Houchens, 34, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 10.

• Samantha L. Nance, 30, of Edmonton was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony, and one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 10.

• Dusty B. Reneau, 39, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony, and one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 10.

• Joshua D. Cogar, 33, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of tampering with physical evidence, a Class D felony; one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony; one count of public intoxication, a Class A misdemeanor; and one count of first-degree persistent felony offender, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about July 3.

• Julio C. Alonso, 37, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine, second offense), a Class D felony; one count of second-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class A misdemeanor; and one count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about July 6.

• John T. Adwell, 31, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property($500 or more but less than $10,000), a Class D felony; one count of tampering with physical evidence, a Class D felony; one count of first-degree fleeing or evading police(motor vehicle), a Class D felony; and one count of operate off-road vehicle on private/public land without consent, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about July 8.

• Donnie R. Johnson, 65, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of torture of a dog or cat with serious physical injury or death, a Class D felony, and one count of second-degree cruelty to animals, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about July 5.

• Harold G. Davidson, 58, of Park City was indicted on one count of second-degree assault, a Class C felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 20.

• Hadley Johnson, 27, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of second-degree burglary, a Class C felony, and one count of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class B misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about Aug. 1.

• Darron M. Wren Jr., 30, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of second-degree burglary, a Class C felony; one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition(under $500), a Class A misdemeanor; one count of third-degree criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor; and one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about July 5-15.

• Charles E. Clay, 27, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of tampering with physical evidence, a Class D felony; one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine), a Class D felony; one count of first-degree fleeing or evading police(on foot), a Class D felony; one count of drug paraphernalia buy/possess, a Class A misdemeanor; one count of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 7.

• Brittney R. Benigni, 22, of Glasgow was indicted on one count of first-degree assault, a Class B felony, and one count of first-degree criminal abuse in a continuing course of conduct(victim under 12 years of age), a Class C felony, for crimes that allegedly occurred on or about June 10.
