AVON, Ind. — Georgia Ann Bach, 59, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, in Avon.
She was the daughter of Charles E. and Grace R. Bauer Pena.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Joseph Bach Sr.; and, locally, a son Paul (Angelia) Bach Jr.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Alpha Funeral Service, Indianapolis, with interment in New Winchester Cemetery.
Rose Evelyn Barton-Bewley
GLASGOW — Rose Evelyn Barton-Bewley, 80, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at her home.
She was born in Barren County, a daughter of the late Iland and Bessie Hagan Franklin. She was a member of Grider Memorial Baptist Church and was an adult literacy tutor.
Survivors include four daughters: Wanda Barton, Sharon Stevens (Anthony), Vickie Ann Davis (Steve) and Jacqueline Barton, all of Glasgow; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Katherine Morgan and Barbara Poteet, both of Glasgow.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Lonnie Barton; her second husband, Wilbur Bewley; a son, Donnie Barton; four brothers: Richard, Thomas, Garnett and Murrell Franklin; and two sisters: Virginia England and Lora Jean Monroe.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
TOMPKINSVILLE — Sheena Gearlds, 47, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Sheena was born May 16, 1962, in Monroe County. She married Ricky Gearlds on June 9, 1979, at the Mount Gilead Church of Christ. She was director of nursing at the Palace Healthcare in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
Sheena was preceded in death by her father, Ermel Dodson.
Sheena is survived by her husband, Ricky Gearlds; two sons and daughter-in-law: Justin and Amy Gearlds, and Cory Gearlds, her mother, Minnie Kathleen Stewart Davis, and stepfather, Billy Guy Davis, all of Tompkinsville; two half-brothers: Morris Gail Dodson of Summer Shade, and Waymon Dodson of Tompkinsville; two half-sisters: Minnie Moss of Tipton, Ind., and Patty Graves of Tompkinsville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Tompkinsville First Baptist Church with Brother Mike Thomason, Brother Gene Gearlds and Brother Tom Stokes officiating. Burial will be in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, visitation Saturday, Feb. 27, after 9 a.m. is at Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be to Tompkinsville First Baptist Church or to the Guatemala Mission Team.
Oma Lee Kidwell Ray
CAVE CITY — Oma Lee Kidwell Ray, 82, of Cave City, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation.
She was a nurse and a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Kidwell and the late Frona Elmore Kidwell.
She is survived by one son: Danny Carroll Ray (Sally), Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters: Elva Dennison (James), Cave City, Ethel Poynter, Cave City; one half-brother: Darrell Strode (Patsy), Bowling Green; six grandchildren: Melissa Denise, Karen Jean, Jessica Ray, Joshua Ray, Don Doggett and Kimberly Yanko (Bob); two great-grandchildren: Amanda and Brandon Yanko; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, with Brother Hank Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery, Mammoth Cave.
TOMPKINSVILLE — Isham Tooley, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at Monroe Health Care & Rehab in Tompkinsville.
He was the son of the late Evans Tooley and Bernice Pitcock Tooley Geralds. He was also preceded in death by Edith Sheffield Tooley, his first wife, and Jewell Hale Brown Tooley, his second wife.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
TOMPKINSVILLE — J.E. Hutcherson, 65, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
He was the son of the late Harrison Hutcherson and Ova Adams Hutcherson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the funeral home.
GLASGOW — Beatrice Rose Allison-Nelson, 88, of Glasgow, was born into eternal life Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, resting at the home of William and Mary Nelson in Glasgow. A memorial funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. today (Friday) at Glasgow First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Nelson chose cremation and there will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church and will be announced at a later date.
