Billy Lindsey resigned as the head football coach at Glasgow High School this week.

Lindsey, a GHS graduate, was out of town Wednesday and confirmed by phone that he had resigned. He told the GHS football team of his resignation on Tuesday afternoon.

Lindsey was 19-26 in four years as Glasgow’s head coach. He was an assistant for two years prior to taking over as head coach and also had stints as head coach at Barren County, Taylor County and Metcalfe County. Lindsey also served as an assistant coach at North Hardin.

A phone message for GHS principal Kelly Bell was not returned Wednesday evening. No other information was available at press time.
