Youth league searches for support

Horse Cave, Cave City differ in response

GLASGOW — Caverna Youth League representatives approached two city councils last week in search of the same from each — money. One obliged and the other wanted to study the idea further.

Cave City’s council approved donation of $500 to CYL on Monday night to help with the purchase of football equipment and jerseys. Horse Cave City Council members declined to make a decision on giving money to the youth sports organization after the city’s attorney, Pat Ross, said he wanted to check into the matter. The CYL serves students in the Caverna School District, which is an independent district comprised of children from both Cave City and Horse Cave.
