Mark Wayne Rader
SHELBURN — Mark Wayne Rader, 58, of Shelburn, and formerly of Terre Haute, died Nov. 5, 2009, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute, on April 13, 1951, the son of Darrell Wayne and Cordelia Norma (Helton) Rader, and they preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Angie (Walters) Rader, on Jan. 25, 2002.
He was formerly employed at Ulrich Chemical and then Hydrite Chemical. His latest position was with the Sullivan County Park and Lake. He was a graduate of the former Wiley High School, a member of Shelburn Masonic Lodge 369 Free & Accepted Masons, Zorah Shrine, and the Scottish Rite Valley, of Terre Haute. He was an outdoorsman who especially liked guns and gunsmithing, fishing, and hunting. His biggest enjoyment, though, was watching his son play football.
He is survived by his son, Nathan Rader; brothers, David Rader and wife Judy of Hymera, Carl Rader and wife Lisa and Keith Rader and wife Melinda, all of Terre Haute; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; his special friend, Sherry Rader; and his stepmother, Gail Rader. His nieces and nephews are Scott Rader, Jason Rader, Aaron Rader, Jamie Rader, Brian Rader, Jeremy Rader, Keith Rader Jr. his Godson, and Jasmine Rader.
Funeral services will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Masonic memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Calling is from 10 a.m. until services Tuesday. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery.
