GLASGOW — Barren County put three players in double figures Tuesday night as the Trojans rolled over visiting Metcalfe County by a score of 76-20.

“You don’t want to develop bad habits because you can do things in a game like this that you can’t do regularly,” said Barren County coach Warren Cunningham. “So, we wanted to make sure we competed tonight and had the right approach to the game. The main thing we were looking for tonight was for us to have the right mental approach that you have to have, regardless of who you play.

“I am not sure we had that early, but we got it going later. Tonight, we were able to get some good experience for guys that don’t play as much, or hardly play at all. And hopefully, that will help us down the road.”

Thirteen of the 14 players that took the floor for the Trojans scored and the scoring surge began early in the game. The Trojans raced to a 10-2 lead early in the first period and held a 12-4 advantage as the quarter came to a close.
