Falcons cage Trojans, 29-14

TOMPKINSVILLE — Momentum is vital in any athletic event and it played a big role in Monroe County’s 29-14 football victory over Barren County Friday night.

With just over 1:00 to go in the first half, the Falcons ran a hook-and-ladder pass play from Lincoln Arnett to Tanner Strode, via Dustin Swann , for a 73-yard touchdown pass. Brian White’s kick was good and the elated Falcons took a 22-14 advantage into the locker room. A lead they would not relinquish.
