Trojans visit Taylor County, seek third straight win

GLASGOW — Even though the game has no bearing on their standings in the playoffs, Jason Esters says Barren County’s football game at Taylor County on Friday may be one of the biggest games his team has played all year.

“We’ve got to win this game. We have to keep the momentum going,” said Esters, whose team is 3-5 and currently riding a two-game winning streak.

“We’re in the playoffs, but now we have to get ready to make a run in the playoffs. There are probably some people that don’t believe we can get past the first round of the playoffs. I don’t want that to be the case this year.”

The Taylor County Cardinals go into Friday’s contest with a 3-5 overall record, sporting wins over Casey County, Campbellsville and LaRue County.
