The Glasgow High School Scotties saw a lot of bright spots in a preseason football scrimmage with the Russellville Panthers on Thursday evening.
Senior quarterback Ryan Hinkley led an early game offensive attack as Glasgow jumped out to an early advantage. Score is not kept during football scrimmages.
“I thought it was a good scrimmage. It turned out three touchdowns each,” said Glasgow coach Rick Wood. “I thought we got a little better of it in the first half and they got the better of it in the third quarter. It was obvious on both teams the conditioning was a factor. We’ll watch the game film tomorrow and learn from it.
“I thought Ryan looked good in the first half. I think he threw the ball well considering he had a lot of people in his face. We faced a (defensive) front we hadn’t seen and we didn’t do a good job picking up the blitz.”
