Before preseason training began this summer, Ken Mahung, the new girls’ soccer coach at Barren County High School, believed the transition period for his team to adjust to his philosophy of play could be lengthy due to the squad’s youth and inexperience.
However, after just a number of days training with the team, Mahung has been pleasantly surprised with the speed the players are picking things up.
“The kids have responded wonderfully,” said Mahung, who came to Glasgow this year from Chicago.
