GLASGOW — The Glasgow High boys soccer team will be the top seed in next week's Boys 15th District Soccer Tournament.
The determination was made Tuesday via a pill bottle draw. Glasgow and Barren County finished the season tied for first in the district and so Glasgow coach Joe Mercer and Barren coach Lawrence Nyken met to draw for seeding. Mercer drew No. 1 from his bottle, giving the Scotties the top seed in next week's district tournament at Clinton County High School.
Glasgow will play Tuesday night against the winner of Barren County and Clinton County. Their game is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday in Albany. The draw also put the Glasgow boys through to the Region 4 Tournament, which will be played at the Glasgow-Barren County Soccer Complex. There are only three boys teams in the district.
