Trojans serve as scary No. 4 district seed

GLASGOW — If the coaches in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association 15th Baseball District were asked if they had a preference as to which team they played next week in the district tournament, they probably wouldn’t answer. And that’s because this year, probably even more than in the past, parity is evident in the district from the top to the bottom. Even though records may say otherwise, the coaches will tell you all four teams have a chance to win the title.

Allen County-Scottsville heads into next week’s tournament at Monroe County High School in Tompkinsville as the No. 1 seed. The Patriots are 11-16 overall and 5-1 in the district. They will open the tournament at 6 p.m. on Monday against Barren County, the No. 4 seed. The Trojans are 13-21 on the season and 1-5 in district play.
