The Barren County High School Trojanettes jumped into the driver’s seat of the 15th District softball race Thursday afternoon with a come-from-behind 7-6 victory over powerhouse Allen County-Scottsville.
“That’s what we’ve been working for, quality wins. We had a good win over Glasgow, a good win over Warren East, and this one may be above those two because Allen County has the strong tradition,” said Trojanette coach Kevin Jackson. “Any time you can knock off a powerhouse in your district or region, it is a good win.
“The kids have really bought in to what we’re doing here. We’re trying to build a program here, not a one-year team, but a program. And they’re buying into it.”
