The Barren County High School Trojanettes are on a roll as they picked up two big softball victories this week to run their season record to 18-12. The Trojanettes knocked off Clinton County 5-3 on Tuesday night after beating South Warren 2-0 the night before in Bowling Green.
The two victories are Barren County’s fourth and fifth wins in their last six games.
Barren County High School pitcher Makenzie Wells, only an eighth-grader, earrned the win in both games to run her record to 13-5.
“Any time you come down here to Clinton County, you can expect a dog fight,” said Barren County coach Kevin Jackson. “It doesn’t matter what the records are. You can always expect a low-scoring, defensive battle and that’s what we got tonight.”
