The Barren County Trojans scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning Monday afternoon to pace themselves to a big 7-4 baseball victory over visiting Warren Central.
“We swung the bats pretty good. On the mound, we walked too many and hit three batters,” said Barren County coach Johnny Vance.
“Our base running was awful. We had two people thrown out at the plate and one at third trying to take an extra base on a wild pitch. We really kept them in the game with five walks, three hit batters, and four errors.
“The only thing we did well today was swing the bat especially early in the game. The base running and the four errors kept them in the game.
