The Glasgow High School Scotties and Lady Scotties spent Thursday making last-minute preparations as they get ready to compete in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Region 1A Track Meet Saturday at Muhlenberg County High School in Greenville.
Glasgow boys’ coach John Vaughn said he doesn’t know a lot about the Class A teams that will be at the meet, but he believes his runners are ready to compete.
“We have a lot of very good runners and we should do very well in several of the events. I just don’t know if we have enough athletes to win the regional team title,” said Vaughn.
“I definitely think we should do well in our relay events.
“I think you have to look at Gary Settles, Quentel Bradley, Milas Norris, Julius Shirley, and those guys in the sprints.
“And then you also have to look at Zack Wheeler in the 400 meters. He’s running very well.”
