GHS girls shut out Trojanettes

GLASGOW — For Steven Murphy, the keys to winning a softball game are good pitching and consistent defense. The Glasgow High School coach got both of those things from his team Thursday night as the Lady Scotties shut out Barren County, 4-0.

“The difference in the ballgame today was pitching and defense. Brittany (Dugger) pitched well today, changed speeds and kept people off stride. And we made the plays defensively,” said Murphy. “When you put those things together, you don’t have to score a lot of runs. Tonight we scored enough to win.”
