In what may have been their best offensive game of the season, the Glasgow High School Scotties shot over 50 percent from the field Friday night to pick up a surprisingly easy 83-56 victory over local rival Caverna High School.
The Scotties pushed the ball up and down the floor, picking up several baskets in transition. And when they weren’t scoring on layups, the Scotties rained down the 3-pointers from outside as GHS picked up a lopsided winy.
“We shot the ball very well tonight. We shot 53 percent from the floor and we had six different guys make 3-pointers,” said Glasgow coach John Tinsley. “I was really proud of our team effort tonight, we moved the ball well and we made the extra pass. We probably had our best offensive night of the year.
“I have always thought one of our strengths has been team shooting. It hasn’t always been the case, but we know we’re a good shooting team and anyone can make the shot on any given night. That’s what makes us dangerous.”
Caverna head coach Blake Button believes that.
