Whitney Wade, one of the most decorated players in the history of University of Georgia Golf and former Glasgow High School golf standout, was named assistant coach at her alma mater by head coach Josh Brewer on Thursday.
"I'm excited to have Whitney return to UGA and again represent Georgia Golf," Brewer said. "She's extremely competitive and a direct link to the last great era of golf here at Georgia. Her playing resume speaks volumes. She was a three-time All-American and played in three U.S. Opens."
Wade was named All-America by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) three times and was a four-time first-team All-SEC performer. She is one of just three Georgia and seven SEC golfers to be named first-team All-SEC four times.
