Veteran Barren County High School Baseball Coach Johnny Vance never likes to lose. He’s very competitive. But after watching his team drop a 9-4 decision to Greenwood Tuesday night, Vance wasn’t real disappointed.
“Everyone has told me Greenwood is the best team in the region. Well, we had 10 hits off of one of their better pitchers and we led 4-3 going into the sixth inning,” said Vance. “I am really pleased with the way we played and our effort tonight.”
Barren County went with two of their younger pitchers against Greenwood. Sophomore Jacob Thompson pitched into the sixth inning and junior Zack Ross came on to close the game.
